Different timbers will take colours differently, we advise to do a sample before finishing the whole area

All Treatex Colours can be mixed

Application

All previous finishes should be fully removed, sanding off using 80 - 120 grit sandpaper

Sawdust should be removed with a vacuum or tac cloth (Do NOT wash the surface with white spirit / water etc. after sanding)

Stir tins thoroughly before and during use, ensure product is at room temperature before use

Apply one coat with a brush or short pile microfibre roller in manageable areas, then the excess MUST be removed with a cloth or slow buffing machine with a soft pad (if the excess is not removed properly, it may produce a patchy finish)

Leave to dry for 3 - 6 hours before applying two coats Treatex Hardwax Oil Ultra Clear - the top coats are applied to prevent wear to the colour pigments

Allowing sufficient ventilation to the room is essential for reliable drying times
