Treatex External Oak Colours

Treatex External Oak Colours - developed as a base coat to treat timbers such as Oak and Idigbo, before applying 2 coats of Treatex UV Oil

Available in Virgin Oak and Regency Oak colours, they are suitable for use both externally and internally and provide a UV protection that leave the timber looking natural

Virgin Oak is similar in colour to 'Light Oak' and Regency Oak is similar to 'Medium Oak'

UV and water resistant once finished with Treatex UV Oil

Prior to application all previous finishes must be removed, surfaces should be sanded with 100-120 grit sandpaper and all external sharp edges should be rounded to approx. 3mm (5mm on cill front)

Timber must have a moisture content below 18% and the ambient temperature must be above 8°

Stir tins thoroughly and apply using a good quality brush, working along the grain, apply 1 even coat to all surfaces, a second coat is recommended to any exposed end grain, apply to these area's whilst the finish is still wet

Allow to dry for a minimum 12 hours before applying 2 coats Treatex UV Oil

Brushes can be cleaned in Treatex Thinner or White Spirit

Coverage: 1L will cover approx. 20m2
