Treatex Walnut oil - suitable for interior furniture, worktops, chopping boards, children's toys, doors etc.
Walnut oil is produced by compressing broken walnuts, this is then refined and added to natural oils and resins, including linseed oil, tung oil, sunflower oil and calendula oil
The walnut oil protects and nourishes the timber, offering a water resistant finish that enhances the natural appearance of wood
The oil dries quickly and should be touch dry and polishable after 20 minutes, achieving full hardness in just a few hours, once dry, walnut oil is safe for people with nut allergies
Application
Surface should be sanded smooth with 180 - 240 grit sandpaper and must be dry and free from dust and grease
Shake well and apply with a microfibre cloth
With regular use walnut oil offers excellent protection against stains and contamination
Apply 2 - 3 coats or until you feel the wood is suitably saturated
Note - used cloths should be laid flat to dry before disposal - wet cloths carry a small risk of spontanious combustion (linseed oil)
Do not clean oiled surfaces with aggressive cleaners
