Feltgard Heavy-duty nail-in felt pads are a great choice for protecting smooth floor coverings such as hardwood, laminate, vinyl, or tile floors from damage caused by furniture legs, these felt pads are designed to distribute the weight of furniture evenly and reduce friction, preventing scratches and dents
Ensure you select the appropriate size of felt pad for your furniture legs, the pads come in 25mm and 38mm diameter, so measure the bottom of the furniture leg to determine the right size - Feltgard 9934 pack contains enough pads for 4 chairs and 1 table
If there are existing glides, remove them, then simply hammer the felt pad onto the bottom of the furniture leg, make sure it is centred and securely in place
Before attaching the felt pads, make sure the floor is clean and free of dust and debris, any dirt or grit trapped under the pads can scratch the floor over time
Periodically inspect the felt pads for wear and tear, over time, the felt can become compressed or damaged, when this happens, replace the pads to maintain effective floor protection
